Jason Jenn
Biography
Jason Jenn is an interdisciplinary artist with a background in intermedia art, theatre, film, and cultural administration. Born and raised in rural Iowa, Jason received his Bachelor of Arts from the Univerity of Iowa with a double major in Film & Media Production / Theatre Arts and a minor in Intermedia Arts.
He moved to Los Angeles in 1998. After several years working in the Hollywood film and television industry, he founded a special events consulting and producing business, ReEvolutionary Productions. He trained and worked for seven years with renowned performance artist Rachel Rosenthal. He has produced over fifty theatrical shows and festival events, assisted in curating over fifty exhibitions, and produced hundreds of video shorts and features.
In 2017 he partnered with another visual artist with a video/media background, Vojislav RadovanoviÄ. Together they foundedĀ L.A. Art Documents, a media company providing quality video and photographic documentation to preserve, promote, and curate the contemporary arts community in Los Angeles and Beyond.
Jenn is an independent, freelance arts consultant. He serves as Technical Director for This Way Out Radio, a weekly half-hour international LGBTQ news and features radio program. Former positions include Operations Director for Holonyne Corporation (a multimedia & video wall programming and consultation company), Outreach Specialist for Torrance Art Museum, and Curatorial Assistant for Lancaster’s Museum of Art & History (MOAH:CEDAR), and creator/producer of several grant-funded programs for the City of West Hollywood.
