Biography

Alison Hyman was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1976 with a degree in textile design and printmaking. She has taught art at the high school and college level. After immigrating to the USA in 1997, Alison earned her MFA in Painting from Laguna College of Art and Design in 2011. She has participated in many solo and group exhibitions, winning numerous awards in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, Santa Fe, Scotland, England, and Israel. Her work is in private and corporate collections worldwide. She now lives with her husband in the Coachella Valley, where she continues her studio practice and spends most of her days painting.
