DTLA gallery owner Haleh Mashian and her business, Mash Gallery, commemorate an incredible milestone and one year anniversary on August 17 by introducing LUMEN, a new art exhibition celebrating light.

Haleh shares, “LUMEN is an exploration and representation of the behavior and properties of light, its relationship to color, and the resulting impact on the human psyche.”

LUMEN presents the viewer with a multi-sensory art show that is both ethereal and atmospheric, yet geometric and analytic. Work ranges from the two-dimensional, painted canvases, to three-dimensional light art compositions made of alternative materials, plastics, glass, and metal.

LUMEN marks the eighth show in an impressive line up of exhibitions that have featured seven curators, eighty-one artists, and multiple gallery events including talks, fashion shows, dance instruction, and a color psychic.

As Mash Gallery gets ready to embark on a new year, Haleh thanks everyone in advance for their continued support. “We are really looking forward to kicking off the opening of LUMEN, sharing the exhibition with the Los Angeles community, and celebrating this achievement with a live DJ, visiting artists, and all of our guests. Officially, our birthday begins on August 25th.”

The one year anniversary of Mash Gallery kicks off with the opening of LUMEN on August 17, 8 to 11 PM. Featured painters and light artists include Zara Monet Feeney, Angela Johal, Laura Payne, Aaron Axelrod, Marko Gavrilovic, and featuring a new Light Art installation by Lisa Schulte.
