Mash Gallery, a contemporary art gallery located in the LA Arts District, will accommodate independent curators to manifest their vision. The venue is designed to create intimate conversations between those curators, artists, and the Los Angeles art audience. Mash Gallery will place the commercial programming into the hands of an ever-changing rotation of curated shows. This model of scheduling and presenting art installations mimics museum and nonprofit art spaces, but is new territory for a commercial art space. Instead of representing individual artists, Mash Gallery will a show a robust schedule of compelling contemporary art shows.
Haleh Mashian, owner of Mash Gallery, is an expressionist painter who works in a variety of mediums. “Mash Gallery will be fresh,” says Mashian, “There will be programming and synergy with fashion, and performance. Curating is about community, and we welcome artists and their networks to the gallery.” Mashian’s goal is to build a place of creativity and connection for emerging and established artists.
